The Pen is Mightier Than The Sword

Nesa (8:53:24 PM): indeed
Nesa (8:53:32 PM): yanno how actions are louder than words? xD
david (8:53:41 PM): Eh, that’s for noobs.
Nesa (8:53:46 PM): i think sometimes the pen is mightier than the sword
david (8:53:48 PM): The pros can make words better than action.
You know how people are always saying that actions speak louder than words? Well, there are many instances where words were more powerful. Three Case studies:
- The American Revolution: Even though the British and the Rebels were fighting already, it took Patrick Henry and his speech to move the congressional congress (if I remember correctly) and declare war on Britain for all of its offenses that it has caused the colonies.
- The Civil War: When the Union troops were low on morale, Lincoln whipped out the Gettysburg Address and renewed their strength by stating that now they were going to free the slaves [that were owned by confederates].
- Martin Luther King had a dream, and his words were so dangerous that his life was taken from him. That day at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, he got both blacks and whites to stop in their tracks.
Yea, I can’t believe that I was actually thinking about this in the morning. Strange person I am. I had to write it down though, lest I forget.
